Active Ingredients

Application
Gently apply the Hirudoid cream 3 to 5 cm in length ( if necessary even more) is applied to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily and made to enter the skin by slight friction till the cream has disappeared. Hirudoid cream shou;ld only be used on unbroken skin and should not be brought in to contact with open wounds, the eyes or mucous membranes.
In very painful inflammations and thrombosis, the affected area and its vicinity must carefully spread over with Hirudoid and covered with piece of linen soaked with it. To intensity its effect, Hirudoid should be rubbed onto the affected and surrounding area. To loosen hard scars, the cream is massaged vigorously into them.

Not to be used on large areas of skin, broken skin, sensitive areas of skin or mucous membranes. Not to be used in individuals with a known sensitivity to any active or inactive component of the formulation. Not to be used in children under 5 years of age.
Instruct patients not to smoke or go near naked flames – risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
Ingredients with specified warnings
This product contains Cetostearyl alcohol and lanolin which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
This product contains propyl parahydroxybenzoate and ethyl parahydroxybenzoate which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
